An excellent new adaptation. Antonio, a rich merchant, agrees to stand security of "a pound of flesh" (his own) for Basario and finds himself bound to pay. Al Pacino brings anger and malice, but also pathos and humanity, to the role. Joseph Fiennes is annoying. Lynn Collins is lovely. (49 words)
