This semi-autobiographical rebellious account of traversing America in the 1950s became the bible for the Beat Generation, with its wild adventures and crazy characters. His writing style gets difficult to follow sometimes, with detailed paragraphs spanning over pages, but it was revolutionary at the time, and still deemed a classic. (50 words)
