A big improvement on the original Fantastic Four movie with very impressive special effects. Not much of a story of course but this is a comic adaptation so what do you expect. If you're looking for the definition of a summer popcorm flick this is it. (46 words)

It would be difficult to be worse that Ocean's 12, luckily the most recent installment is very much better. Any attempt at a story is thrown aside, instead all the cast just have a good time and play the cool superstars they are. Totally brainless but good none the less. (50 words)

A light hearted romantic comedy following a guy who could not let go of his love for his dead partner. A good story following him then meeting a new lady and having support of friends along the way. Certainly worth a watch, would not hurry to see it again. (49 words)

Not quite as good as Shaun of the Dead but still a cut above your average comedy schlock. So many little references to cop movies you could probably watch it five or six times and not pick them all up. An excellent comedy with the cream of British comedy acting. (50 words)

This comedy from the same farm as 40 Year Old Virgin is much funnier than it's predecessor. Foul language throughout but genuinely funny with great acting from all involved. A mid-20s stoner has a one-night stand, but the girl gets pregnant and they both have to deal with the consequences. (50 words)

This fantasy film is very similar to Jumanji, in a good way. Creatures come to life in a New York museum and Ben Stiller has to control them or lose his job. A great classic supporting cast including Dick van Dyke and Ricky Gervais top off a lovely family movie. (50 words)

With so many baddies this is a real epic of a cartoon adventure. In reality it could probably be as good and be 45 minutes shorter but overall a good addition to the franchise. The fight scenes are especially brutal with heads bashing into walls a lot. Impressive stuff. (49 words)

Total tosh of course but my Drew Barrymore obsession continues. Hugh Grant plays Hugh Grant as a faded 80s pop star who needs Drew Barrymore to help him write the lyrics for a Shakira like pop star. Cue lots of the usual rom-com type cliches, but I still enjoyed it! (50 words)

Where the first movie was inventive and amusing, this descended into lazy gurning for laughs. There were a few amusing bits but the story was non-existant and the movie so badly edited that I was glad when it all ended. A pity for what promised to be a good movie. (50 words)

Nicole Kidman and Sean Penn are both great in this political drama. With someone set to stage an assassination at the UN, Penn is brought in to investigate the woman who overheard the plot - and discovers a lot more about her into the bargain. Intersting insight into international relations. (50 words)
