Russell crowe plays a horrid London stock broker who falls for the local french cafe worker when he inherits his uncle's French chateau and vineyard. Albert Finney steals the show as Crowe's uncle just through the 'flashback' scenes. Watch on Film4 but don't buy it! (45 words)

Guinea pigs trained as FBI secret agents...you're getting the idea! This is a fun movie for kids aged 4 to 8 and my eldest daughter loved it. The action sequnces are great but the dialogue is not! The 3-D effects are ace though. (43 words)

A spy movie crossed with a war movie in which Leo DiCaprio plays a field intelligence officer in Iraq who uncovers a major terrorist cell carrying out atrocities in Europe. Russell Crowe plays his hawkish boss who sends him in deeper. Excellent suspense and great action. (46 words)

An extended episode of the X-Files, this was really gripping and the acting by Duchovny and Anderson is excellent. I did, however, feel that I was in timewarped back to 1996 in my 2nd year digs watching this show - nothing was really very different. Enjoyable all the same. (49 words)

An ordinary guy (one the Wilson brothers, I don't care to remember which) falls for a beautiful woman (Uma Thurman) who turns out to be a superhuman. Then he splits up with her and nothing particularly witty or enthralling happens (aside, perhaps, from the mis-casting of Eddie Izzard). Bobbins. (49 words)

A warm-hearted, girl-orientated coming-of-age movie about 2 friends who want to go out with 2 brothers who attend their school. They get there (with a few teenage rollercoasters on the way) and this movie leaves you in the 'feelgood' frame of mind. (42 words)

The award winning documentary about the amazing Philippe Petit who, in 1974, carried out the most fantastically illegal artistic stunt ever: high wire walking between the twin towers in New York. The result is nothing short of awe inspiring - the preparation is almost as good as the result! (49 words)

A superior stoner movie by Judd Apatow and Seth Rogan involving the eponymously named weed, a murdered cop, a witness (Rogan), a drugged-out dealer, the irate parents of the witness' girlfriend and various other wonderfully odd characters. An excellent waste of 1.5 hours!! (43 words)
