Paul Bettany displays vast amounts of charisma in this sweet, if slightly unbelievable, romantic comedy based around the tennis tournament. Kirsten Dunst is equally appealing, and slightly less saccharine than in some roles. Good support roles raise this above the average. Travolta and Jackson back together is a good start. Unfortunately it does not continue. A confusing and unoriginal murder / romance / action / any other genre you'd like to add where Travolta is trying to track down the killer of an Army sergeant. The plot just does not work. (50 words)

As long as you don't expect much this is an enjoyable action comedy. Starring The Rock (an ex-wrestler) and Sean William Scott you know you are getting violence and over the top comedy. Although it does raise a smile in places this movie is really appalling. The only things which keep it out of the gutter are that the cast look like they're enjoying themselves and the cameos (William Shatner, Lance Armstrong etc). This retelling of the Arthur legend, starring Clive Owen,suffered from some serious plot holes and terrible dialogue but, nevertheless, made for fairly entertaining viewing. The special effects in the frozen river battle were particularly spectacular. Just a shame I spent a lot of time laughing where I wasn't supposed to. (50 words)

Basically I enjoyed this remake, starring Glen Close, Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick and Christopher Walken. It just felt like there could have been more to the film, more plot, more character development, more humour. A bit disappointing but pleasant enough. (40 words)
