Another Ben Stiller movie which relies on toilet gags and gross-out comedy. Another Ben Stiller moview which relies on an old high school girl becoming the love of his life. Another Ben Stiller movie if you like that sort of thing. (41 words)
| 0 Comment(s)Paul Bettany displays vast amounts of charisma in this sweet, if slightly unbelievable, romantic comedy based around the tennis tournament. Kirsten Dunst is equally appealing, and slightly less saccharine than in some roles. Good support roles raise this above the average. Particularly pleasing for those familiar with London and/or tennis. (50 words)
| 0 Comment(s)Tom Hanks is an immensely likeable eastern europen who gets stuck in an airport in New York when his country is taken over in a coup. This film is innovative and endearing, if a little too cute at times.Stanley Tucci is the overzealous airport official. (45 words)
| 0 Comment(s)Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise in assasin guise this time. A well put together action thriller which stands out for it's unusual imagery of Los Angeles and novel claustrophobic shooting style. Worth a look (34 words)
| 1 Comment(s)Travolta and Jackson back together is a good start. Unfortunately it does not continue. A confusing and unoriginal murder / romance / action / any other genre you'd like to add where Travolta is trying to track down the killer of an Army sergeant. The plot just does not work. (50 words)
| 0 Comment(s)Vin Diesel is nt what you would call an emotional actor. In fact actor is a bit strong on its own. You have seen this moview so many times before that from the first minute you can predict the outcome. Nothing wrong with this, just not much right or new. (50 words)
| 0 Comment(s)As long as you don't expect much this is an enjoyable action comedy. Starring The Rock (an ex-wrestler) and Sean William Scott you know you are getting violence and over the top comedy. The fights are well choreographed and the baddie (Christopher Walken) suitably evil. Good afternoon viewing. (48 words)
| 0 Comment(s)Although it does raise a smile in places this movie is really appalling. The only things which keep it out of the gutter are that the cast look like they're enjoying themselves and the cameos (William Shatner, Lance Armstrong etc). Stiller should think more carefully before saying yes to movies. (50 words)
| 0 Comment(s)This retelling of the Arthur legend, starring Clive Owen, suffered from some serious plot holes and terrible dialogue but, nevertheless, made for fairly entertaining viewing. The special effects in the frozen river battle were particularly spectacular. Just a shame I spent a lot of time laughing where I wasn't supposed to. (50 words)
| 0 Comment(s)Basically I enjoyed this remake, starring Glen Close, Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick and Christopher Walken. It just felt like there could have been more to the film, more plot, more character development, more humour. A bit disappointing but pleasant enough. (40 words)
