Julianne Moore and Pierce Brosnan are sweet in this rom com about divorce lawyers. The supporting cast are fun and the dialogue witty. It is a bit forced in places but overall perfect Sunday afternoon viewing. (36 words)

Excellent screenplay of Stephen King's novel is backed up by simply outstanding performances from Hanks, and Clarke Duncan, the latter playing a gentle giant who has the ability to heal people. Set on death row in a prison there is little more than the actors to make the story. (49 words)

Whatever the trailers suggest, this movie is not a comedy. However, it is interesting, innovative, well acted and moving. Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet are both excellent in this movie about the good and bad memories that make up relationships. A bit confusing perhaps but worth seeing, at least once. (50 words)

Genuinely funny and all the better for Jack Nicholson and (most of) the cameo appearances. Sandler plays himself as usual but the script seems to be slightly more inventive than his other films. Let down badly by the twist ending but at least a new approach was taken. (48 words)

With an impressive cast of English comics (standup and actors) I think we should be entitled to expect a lot. Instead it is the same old formulaic sports movie with the bad boy coming good in the end. Some funny moments but nothing new here. (45 words)

Different in style from Volume 1, Volume II is still unmistakeably Tarentino but with more in the way of dialogue and humour. Not as visually exciting as the first part but with a bit more in the way of plot development. Uma is still great. Best watched with Volume 1. (50 words)

The more I think about this comedy about high school geeks and porn stars the lower the rating gets. Amusing while watching, nice twist but severely lacking in character development. Take it for what it is, slightly gross out, funny and sweet but not designed to say anything more. (49 words)

This film is unmistakably Tarentino, from the cool soundtrack to the confusing time frame. If you like his other films this is probably for you. Uma Thurman is great and the much talked about violence is in the realm of comedy/fantasy rather than downright nasty. Looking forward to Volume 2. (50 words)

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler reunite for this sweet rom com about a girl who has lost her short term memory. Kind of like groundhog day but in reverse, everyone else knows that time has moved on but she always wakes on the same day. Fun enough (47 words)
