If bright colours aren't your thing you will hate this comic book story, but the Wachowski brothers produce stunning visuals (as ever) and a really impressive movie for boys everywhere. Some of the acting isn't the best but John Goodman and Christina Ricci are impressive (although for different reasons). (49 words)

After the really disappointing first film in the classic childrens series I wasn't hopeful, but this was a major step up in quality. With more of a whiff of the quality of the LOTR franchise hopefully this bodes well for the remaining stories. Excellent effects, well told story. (48 words)

Superior comic book take-off with Robert Downey Junior starring as the weapons inventor who, after being captured tries to make good on the bad he has done. Brilliant effects, surprisingly funny and set up nicely for a sequal. Given how well this went down it won't be far behind. (49 words)

Seth and Evan are best friends and face up to life in different colleges in the last few days of high school. They plan a night of booze and sex but get nutter policemen, frightening thugs and a certain friend who renames himself McLovin. Poignant, sweary and very funny. (49 words)

Stoner loser Ben gets lucky at a club with the beautiful Alison and, as the title of the film suggests, 8 weeks later they find out that she's having their baby! Very funny one liners and, surprisingly, quite a thougtful view on pregnancy, love and considerable amounts of weed. (49 words)

A fantasy adventure for children set on a desert island, this story of a missing father and determined daughter was sweet and entertaining. Nice to see Jodie Foster doing something light, playing an agrophobic author, and my toddler loved the animals. It was just a bit contrived. Nevermind. (48 words)

Basic premise, man gets dumped - for Russel Brand - goes on holiday to forget and ends up in the room next to them. Really warm with some genuinely laugh out loud moments, the romance is a little contrived but nevertheless believable. Lovely ensemble cast, Brand stands out too. (49 words)

Thanks to a friend showing me this site thought I'd write my first review on this rather cheesey yet funny movie. Based on a bodyguard protecting 3 young lads going into high school from the every tough bully, the humour is good and lead role very dreamy as always. (49 words)

A very funny comedy worthwhile watching, I didn't stop laughing through the film. This dance crazed take off various films based around the Roman Empire scene has a well known casting and I'd watch it again. It's Sparta! (38 words)
