The Welsh boyos are even ruder (and I mean rude as in swearing) than in their debut album. As before, the GLC manage some very funny songs (Bad Boy Limp is a stand-out) and samples (Grange Hill and The Snowman!). This album is definately a guilty pleasure! (47 words)

The impossibly cool Huey et al are back with more of the same. A mixture of rock, latin, pop and R&B combined in an homage to their home city... New York. If you liked Welcome to Poppy's you'll love this, if you didn't then don't bother. (46 words)

You need to be a Madness fan for this album of covers. But if you are you'll love it. Suggs' distinctive voice gives each of the tracks an interesting new twist. You can't mistake the sound of the band and you can't help smiling when you hear them. (48 words)

This is a triumphant return to form the for the Mancunians. Even if you hate their swaggering machismo you can't deny that they write good Beatles, Stone and Kinks rip offs. The singles Layla and the Importance of Being Idle are excellent. Especially the video of the latter. (48 words)

Fronted by former Dubstar lead singer, Sarah Blackwood, this is classy, dark poptronica! Client have been described as a Kraftwork you can look at. Radio and Pornography are stand-out songs. Pleased to see that Client are managed by 'Fletch from Depeche Mode! Client are great live too! (47 words)

20 years of purveying intelligent and perfect sing-along pop songs have not dampened Erasure's live performance. Vince Clarke orchestrated things with a besuited frown while Andy Bell belted out songs old and new with high camp style. Standouts included Drama and Blue Savannah and the stage set was enchanting! The Doves are back with their latest and arguably their best, album, Some Cities. If you've heard the first single "Black & White Town" you will have a good idea what the rest of the tracks will be, an excellent track of affecting commentary about living in small towns. (49 words)

Continuing the recent trend of bands like Keane, Doves and Coldplay this is more of the same. Unashamedly so but what can I say, I like this sort of music. This sort of music which wraps you up in warm beats is ideal for a Sunday morning with the newspapers. (50 words)

The debut album of the ex-soldier is quite stunning. Strong, heartfelt songs are present thoughout this extremely well produced collection. (20 words)

Where have all the interesting samples gone? After KY and Lost Horizons I was expecting some new and interesting chill-out tracks but suddenly they seem to be treading water. There's nothing actually wrong with this but nothing great either, I suppose the bar was set too high. A great disappointment. (50 words)
