An eclectic mixture of Latin music tinged by English influences ranging from techno to pop. Huge in South America and Europe but pretty much unknown here. I don't understand why this is so. Well woth a listen. (37 words)
| 0 Comment(s)Childish and hugely offensive lyrics but great fun. The hooks are original and the lyrics are hilarious. Stand out tracks are Self Suicide and Guns Dont Kill People (Rappers Do). I'd love to see what the US makes of a Welsh collective doing it better than a lot of them. (50 words)
| 0 Comment(s)An old-timey album of the indie-rock variety. The Frank & Walters brought us this classic album in the early 1990's and it still sounds great. Standout songs include 'Trainspotters' (an ode to those whose lives great ambition can be fulfilled), and the fantastic 'John & Sue'. Uplifting stuff! (48 words)
| 0 Comment(s)Not much of a spectacle, but a hugely entertaining return to the UK by the Canadian songstress after a 10 year absence. What started as a run through the current album then jumped seamlessly into a reeling off of favourites. Stand outs included Trainwreck, Building a Mystery & Delerium's Silence. (50 words)

| 0 Comment(s)A lot of surprisingly bad reviews around for this. I think maybe because they have been over hyped people were expecting more but this is not a bad album. In fact there are several excellent tracks - All These Things I've Done being the best. (45 words)
| 0 Comment(s)The remaining line-up of the seminal indier than indie rock-n-roll band strutted their stuff in Nottingham with a little help from the lead singer from Mudhoney. Last song on the finale aside, they rocked and reminded us that we still need to be hip to the American Ruse! (48 words)
| 0 Comment(s)The art-noise rockers Sonic Youth paraded their patented brand of feedback and catchy tunes on this balmy night in September. Despite Kim Gordon's singing the Youth remain entertaining, albeit they played too many of their new songs for my liking. Teen Aged Riot was the highlight. (46 words)
| 0 Comment(s)Sounding like a mix between Morrissey and Madness we have a great set of catchy singalong tunes here. Heavily Ska influenced if you're into 80s nostalgia music this is for you. (31 words)
| 0 Comment(s)I'm quite keen on this. Something between run of the mill 'Britpop' and the Beachboys, almost. A little bit jangly at times, the album nevertheless rolls along with serenity and coherence. The best tracks...well they all sound a bit samey after a while. Not necessarily a bad thing though.
