With the explosion of the iPod, broadband and wireless, a traditional living room stereo is not really needed these days. Enter the JBL Creatures which as well as having superb quality sound-wise, are pieces of sculpture in their own right. Ideal if you are fully immersed in the tech world. (50 words)

But you only discover these once you have negotiated the shocking software which enables you to get files onto the thing in the first place. Reasonable value at £150, but if less impatient than me, wait for the iPod mini. (50 words)

They are not for those scared of computers but for the serious Windows user (and there are a few!) they are invaluable. Special mention for Process Explorer which is an excellent Task Manager replacement. (48 words)

| 0 Comment(s)As a Lotus Notes/Domino developer there is little choice but to be looking at Websphere etc. To this end there is the DeveloperWorks Professional Subscription. Now, it is expensive, but if you want to pick up Websphere, DB2 or, indeed, Lotus Notes/Domino there is no cheaper legal way. (48 words)
