I don't understand why Alabama 3 are not more successful, I mean there is a huge market for London based "country house"! You will know them from the theme tune to The Sopranos. You should know them from this album. You'll be transported to an updated old west feeling. (49 words)

Air don't do upbeat music, they are all about chill-out tracks as evidenced by the repeated use of their previous album (Moon Safari) in many home makeover shows. If you liked that then this is more of the same. Ideal as background music for work or a quiet dinner. (49 words)

This is a double album which makes no sense to me. The Love Below is a superb blend of innovative tracks including the pop sensation Hey Ya. But Speakerboxxx is derivative, uninvetive rap trash. I hope that the rumours of Andre 3000 going it alone prove to be true. (49 words)

Uplifting beats combine with melancholy mood music to create one of the best albums of recent years. Stand-out tracks are Pounding and There Goes the Fear. The video for the latter, by Aldo Paternostro, is definitely worth a look as well. A stunning follow up to Lost Souls (48 words)

Franz Ferdinand's eponymous album is an absolute stonker! Having the same singalong value as Athlete but with a bit more rock and in some cases even sounding a bit Bowie-ish it is an uplifting blend of tracks that will fit perfectly into a summer evening with a few beers. (49 words)
