A thoughtful tale of a plain jane who meets her son, aged 20, for the first time since he was put up for adoption. The story deals with *BIG* issues including loneliness, Multiple Sclerosis and depleted uranium. A fantastic read which I couldn't put down. (45 words)

Comic book tosh but passes the time. A spin off from DareDevil this follows Elektra, who was brought back to life, as she discovers her "true self". The effects are really Matrix-lite and the story relies heavily on schlock philosophy but there are worse ways to spend 90 minutes. (49 words)

A good film, very good casting. The differences between Catholic & protestant faith and a Queen fighting for peace,an enjoyable film although reviews say it doesn't portray truth it is enjoyable. Worth watching I'd see it again. (37 words)

If this epic historical drama doesn't get an oscar for best costume then somthing is wrong. It is sumptuous from start to finish and, while a little (!) historically inaccurate, is entertaining too. Cate Blanchett is brilliant as the stoney-faced queen and Clive Owen fun as Raleigh. An extravagent contender (50 words)

A tongue-in-cheek film by Disney where a cartoon Disney Princess is banished to real-world New York by her fiance's evil mother. The film's cartoon characters are brilliantly transposed into real-life actors - particularly Timothy Spall's fawning bufoon character. Fun for all the family! (43 words)

While I didn't see the end of this movie (small child - "Want to go home"!) what I did see was inventive and entertaining. The song sequences were both fun and ridiculous and the combination of animation and real people worked well. Amy Adams is a star in the making. (50 words)

Jack Black and Ben Stiller join up for this comedy about two friends, one who becomes hugely successful, the other envious of that success. The story's not great and the only thing saving the whole movie from total failure are individual funny moments that keep you going through the dross. (50 words)

As a low budget multitask printer, it's performance is very satisfactory. Quite silent and easy to use, with independent cartridges for the 4 colours, I am satisfied with my printer, scanner and copier choice and it's software, quite intuitive to use. (40 words)

20 years of purveying intelligent and perfect sing-along pop songs have not dampened Erasure's live performance. Vince Clarke orchestrated things with a besuited frown while Andy Bell belted out songs old and new with high camp style. Standouts included Drama and Blue Savannah and the stage set was enchanting! This Freeview PVR is a real top-end product with HDMI upscaling, ipTV and local media centre support built in. The only thing lacking is a second tuner to allow recording one programme while watching another. Certainly a good competitor to Sky+ with the added bonus of no subscription requirements!
