Queen Latifa was made for this role of cycle courier turned taxi driver with supercharged New York cab. The plot, which involves her coming to the aid of a fairly hapless cop, is quite lame but it is funny and enjoyable in a trashy way. Perfect no-brainer. (47 words)

Bruce Willis is a (rather old) lieutenant in the US Marines sent in to Nigeria to rescue an American doctor (Monica Bellucci) from rampaging hordes of militia. Well shot action scenes are let down by the formulaic of the "goodie" Americans versus the "baddie" [insert nationality] Nigerians in this case. (50 words)

You can see what they were trying to do, another School of Rick type film but unfortunately it just doesn't work. There's too much swearing for the sake of it, no story and you don't care about the characters. What's worse is that it's not even funny. Could do better. (50 words)

This is superbly funny from the first moment to the last. Following the life of a tobacco company spin doctor it's delightfully un-PC, taking potshots at every sacred cow of the liberal that can be thought of. There is no choice, you have to watch this as soon as possible. (50 words)

Will Ferrell is the lead in this 70s set comedy about a TV news anchorman and his adventures. Some of this was very funny - the fight between news teams for example, but much of it only managed to be amusing in a lame way. I had expected more. (49 words)

An epic in every sense of the word this is worth watching in spite of Di Caprio in the lead role of Howard Hughes, the film maker, playboy and general nutcase. It's long and covers a lot of ground with some of the best support acting you could hope for. (50 words)

Howard Hughes biopic and a fascinating one at that. Based on Higham's biography, the 3 hour epic charts Hughes' major aviation and film-making achievements from the 1920s to the 1950s and ultimately explores his mental illness late in life. Leonardo Di Caprio delivers a sensitive performance in the lead role. (50 words)

You will have seen the Blue Man Group (the baldies with blue heads) on some ads. I hadn't realised they did music as well but it's a surprisingly good combination of rock and dance. With vocals supplied by guests it's used for their shows but can stand on it's own. (50 words)

Continuing right where the previous movie left off this is a non-stop action romp across five countries. The fight sequences, especially one in Morocco are the best you will see for quite some time. Kirsten Dunst (Marion Davies) and Eddie Izzard (Charlie Chaplin) star in this 1920s story aboard a yacht. This testosterone fuelled but slightly tongue in cheek look at the world of motorcycle gang violence promised little but in fact had spectacular stunts and something for the girls to look at too! I laughed all the way through! (39 words)

Part drama part documentary about a fairly disastrous climbing trip to Peru. Rating should not be taken as a sign of enjoyment because, while very good, this film was not really designed as entertainment. (34 words)

I went to this with a somewhat "this will be rubbish" thoughts, but actually it was quite good, good graphics, the story line worked and my only advice would be not suited to kids who scare easily as the ones I was near didn't think much to it. (48 words)

Absolutely incredible visual effects top of another good summer popcorn blockbuster. It's a pretty fair representation of the 80s cartoon brought to life in a modern day setting. There are some very strange elements such as the agent from "Sector 7" and the fact that we never see the President. (50 words)

Don't let the title mislead you, the real traveling in this story is into history. Jono Riley relives some of the seminal moments of his past to make sense of the death of his first love. Engaging story, characters with depth and atmospheric scene setting. Whole book group loved it. (50 words)

This star studded comedy revolves around a bunch of egotistical actors who end up accidently in a Vietnam drug lord controlled jungle. Stiller's wannabe hero and Downey Junior's method actor work well in tandem but the stand out performance is Tom Cruise as a dancing movie mogul. (47 words)

I was expecting an absolute stinker but I thought this was rather good. As long as you don't expect a faithful rendition of the Iliad and take it at face value you get a stonking good action film of the old style. The effects are good and the cast great. (50 words)

Cult film written by Tarentino with Christian Slater and Rosanna Arquette. Lots of great camoes, very violent. OK but he has done better. (23 words)

Quirky doesn't come close to describing this franco/english tale of a couple visiting her parents in Paris and running into all kinds of people from her past. Julie Delphy and Adam Goldberg played the neurotic couple well but it was difficult to emphathise. Not sure if in-cinema G&T helped! (49 words)

Al Pacino basically replays the Devil's Advocate but this time for bookmnakers and the sports betting industry. It's entertaining enough to see him do his massive overacting schtick but there's nothing new. Matthew McConaughey tries and fails to act, instead he just shows off his body a lot. (48 words)

A friend told me about this site. You can buy tyres for your car and have them fitted at any number of local garages. The cool thing about this site is that you just give it your registration number and it tells you which tyres you need. (47 words)
