This cross between Batman and 1984 sees England in the near future as a fear ridden state run by a scary John Hurt. Nathalie Portman and "V" (Hugo Weaving) lead a revolution trying to bring down the government and restore freedom to the land. Entertaining if a little overlong. (49 words)

An excellent movie charting several viewpoints of the same terrorist attack and assassination attempt on the President of the USA in Spain. Each viewpoint builds on our understanding of what is happening. Brilliant acting from Dennis Quaid and Forest Whittaker. This film had me on edge right through! (48 words)

Thought provoking novel offering a viewpoint on how the media frenzy surrounding a high school shooting can have very significant consequences for individuals involved. More sad than funny, despite what other reviews say, and not as good as Douglas Coupland's book on a similar theme, but certainly worth a read. (50 words)
